Loft Redux

12 04 2010

My friend at the southside mansion wanted her beautiful second floor loft turned into multiple rooms for bedrooms and to cut the heating bill in the winter. Built a bookshelf/storage space as the base of the first divider wall again using almost exclusively reclaimed lumber. Then framed out the wall above with wall outlets and some cool french type windows. Finished it up by installing the door and transom window for continuity with the existing doorways. Still gotta wetsand the drywall and do some more trimming here and there but I’m really happy with how it turned out. I’ll update the photos when it’s ready for paint. Gallery is kinda out of order but I think you can follow it.
